Solar Decathlon India (SDI) will present the Climate-Smart Innovation Award in the Building Industry Innovation Exhibit at the SDI Finals 2023.

This is an opportunity for the industry to exhibit innovative building solutions that address climate change. They will also deliver a 3-minute pitch to a jury, a live audience of over 700 people, and an expected online audience of over 5000 people via YouTube live-stream. They will display their innovative products before prominent developers such as Mahindra Lifespaces, Lodha, Brigade, L&T, and Shapoorji Pallonji. There will be other real estate developers, industry representatives, policymakers, and other key decision-makers looking to meet their net-zero and decarbonization goals. The most innovative product will be judged and awarded the Climate-Smart Innovation Award 2023 by the Infosys Infrastructure team.

SDI is an annual Net-Zero Building Challenge where students partner with real estate developers to design net-zero energy-water, affordable, and resilient design solutions. The SDI Finals will be held at the Infosys Mysore, and the Climate-Smart Innovation Award in the Building Industry Innovation Exhibit is a part of the event.

The ‘Building Industry Innovation Exhibit’ will display products, materials, and technology solutions by 15 qualifying organizations from 10 am on 26th May to 1 pm on 27th May. The finalists will be announced on May 8th, 2023.

The exhibits will meet the following broad guidelines:

• The exhibit(s) must be innovative, futuristic, and go beyond the performance standards of any conventional similar solution available in the market.
• The benefit of the exhibit(s) must address one or more Evaluation Contests of SDI.
• Each exhibitor will pitch the salient features of their exhibit to the jury on 26th May.
• The exhibit should fit in the 9 sq. m. (3m x 3m) of space provided (2 tables and 2 chairs and a standard power connection if required).
